Jaipur Engineering Student Dies in Bagru Building Fall

A tragic incident near Jaipur has claimed the life of a young engineering student. A 19-year-old boy died on Friday evening after allegedly jumping from a multi-storey building that was under construction in the Bagru area.

Details of the Tragic Incident

Police officials confirmed the news on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Priyanshu Raj. He was a student who had enrolled at a private university just six months prior to the incident and was residing in a hostel. The Bagru Station House Officer (SHO), Rajendra Godara, provided these details.

The incident came to light when workers present at the construction site noticed a critically injured person lying at a lower level of the building. They immediately rushed him to a local community health centre. Unfortunately, the doctors at the centre could do nothing but declare him dead upon arrival.

Police Investigation and Evidence

Authorities have stated that they are currently treating the death as a suicide. A thorough investigation is underway to piece together the exact sequence of events. A key part of this probe involves reviewing the CCTV footage obtained from the vicinity of the building.

Police revealed that the student had appeared for an examination earlier on the same day. After his exam, he traveled to the under-construction site, which is located approximately 5 kilometers away from his university campus. Crucial evidence found at the scene, including a bag and a mobile phone, helped the police quickly establish the victim's identity.

Probe into Circumstances and State of Mind

The police are actively working to understand the victim's state of mind leading up to the tragic event. The primary focus of the ongoing probe is to determine the precise circumstances that prompted this extreme step. Investigators are looking into all possible angles to build a complete picture of what transpired on that fateful Friday evening in Bagru.
