The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced a revised schedule for the NEET PG 2025 counselling process, bringing clarity and a structured timeline for thousands of aspiring medical postgraduates across India. This updated calendar covers the crucial 50% All India Quota seats, along with 100% of seats in deemed and central universities.
The counselling process, which was previously delayed due to pending approvals of the seat matrix and necessary clarifications from the National Medical Commission, is now back on track. With the new dates in place, eligible candidates can now proceed with their registration and choice filling in a systematic manner.
NEET PG Counselling 2025: Key Dates for Round 1
The first round of counselling is set to move forward with several critical deadlines. The choice filling window for Round 1 commenced on November 17 and will remain open until November 18, 2025. A crucial step follows on the same day: choice locking will be available from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on November 18.
After the processing of seat allotment on November 19, the most anticipated moment for candidates will arrive on November 20, 2025. On this day, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared. Successful candidates must then report to their allotted institutes between November 21 and November 27, 2025.

Round 2 Schedule
The second round of counselling will begin with registration and payment from December 2 to December 7, 2025. Choice filling will run from December 3 to December 7, with locking on December 7. The seat allotment result for Round 2 is scheduled for December 10, 2025, with reporting from December 11 to December 18.
Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round
The third round will see its result declared on December 31, 2025. For any remaining vacancies, an Online Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted, with its final result announced on January 21, 2026. Reporting for the stray vacancy round will continue until January 31, 2026.
How to Participate in NEET PG Counselling 2025
All candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2025 examination and feature in the official merit list are eligible to participate. The entire process—including registration, payment, choice filling, and choice locking—will be conducted exclusively online through the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in.
