Nirma University marked a significant academic milestone on Wednesday, November 20, 2025, as it celebrated the achievements of its students at the 34th Annual Convocation held in Ahmedabad. The ceremony was a vibrant event where a total of 2,936 students were conferred with their hard-earned degrees, stepping into the next chapter of their professional lives.
A Diverse Pool of Graduates
The convocation saw a wide spectrum of academic accomplishments. The university awarded degrees to 50 PhD scholars, 1,055 postgraduate students, and a substantial batch of 1,831 undergraduate students. The graduating class comprised 1,885 male and 1,051 female students, reflecting a dynamic and inclusive academic environment.
Celebrating Academic Excellence
Exceptional academic performance was at the forefront of the celebrations. In a proud moment for the institution, a total of 63 medals were bestowed upon 56 meritorious students. The medalists included 32 female and 24 male students, with some high-achievers receiving multiple awards for their outstanding dedication to their studies.

The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Neville G Pinto, the President of the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. In his address, Dr. Pinto captivated the audience with his thoughts on the rapidly evolving global landscape. He stated that the world is being transformed at an unprecedented pace by technology, artificial intelligence, and global interconnection.
"What will set you apart won’t be how much you know, but how creatively you can think and how boldly you can innovate," he advised the graduates. He further elaborated that the most successful future organizations will be those that seamlessly integrate human insight with machine intelligence. Emphasizing the critical need for continuous education, Dr. Pinto asserted, "Learning can’t end with a degree. Lifelong learning won’t be optional… It will be essential."

Presiding over the event, Dr. Karsanbhai K Patel, President of Nirma University, inspired the new graduates with a message centered on character and responsibility.
