Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is set to honor five distinguished individuals with the esteemed Jeevan Sadhana Gaurav Puraskar (Lifetime Achievement Award) during its 77th Foundation Day celebrations on Tuesday. This annual recognition celebrates outstanding lifelong contributions across diverse fields of human endeavor.

The university has selected five remarkable personalities who have made significant impacts in their respective domains:

Foundation Day Ceremony Details

The award ceremony will commence at 10:30 AM at the Swarajya Rakshak Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Auditorium, located within the Iravati Karve School of Social Sciences on the university campus. This prestigious event will bring together academic leaders, dignitaries, and members of the university community.

According to an official statement from SPPU, the ceremony will feature eminent scientist Raghunath Mashelkar as the chief guest, while Vice-Chancellor Suresh Gosavi will preside over the function. The awards will be presented by Mashelkar in the presence of senior university officials, distinguished academicians, and invited guests.
