Aamir Khan Calls Junaid a Long-Distance Runner Like Himself
Aamir Khan: Junaid Is a Long-Distance Runner Like Me

Junaid Khan began his acting career with the film 'Maharaj', earning appreciation from audiences for his performance. However, his first theatrical release did not meet expectations at the box office. His next film, 'Loveyappa', a remake of the superhit Tamil film 'Love Today', also failed to impress audiences. Now, Junaid is set to appear in 'Ek Din', backed by his father, Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan on Junaid's Independent Nature

In a recent interview with Radio City India, Aamir spoke about Junaid's journey. He described his son as a “lambi race ka ghoda” (long-distance runner), a phrase often used for Aamir himself when he started out. Aamir shared that he has not guided or influenced Junaid's choices, believing every actor must find their own path. He said, “Junaid is not like that; he would never let me interfere. He is very independent, very strong-willed, and doesn't give up easily. He’s a long-distance runner — the same thing people used to say about me when I had just started out.”

Junaid Khan's Dedication and Honesty in Craft

Aamir also spoke about Junaid's approach to acting, emphasizing his commitment to each role. According to him, Junaid approaches characters with complete sincerity and fully immerses himself in his performances. Referring to his work in 'Ek Din', Aamir said, “He has followed his character with full honesty. Although it's not a very heroic character, he has never tried to step out of it. That shows his honesty towards his work.”
