Following the disappointment of 'Sikandar', Salman Khan is now focused on two major projects that have his fans eagerly waiting for his return to the big screen. The actor will first appear in 'Maatrubhumi', directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangada Singh, expected to release later this year. After that, he has a high-profile project tentatively titled 'SVC63'.
Villain Casting Buzz
According to recent reports, Akshaye Khanna and Fahadh Faasil are the top contenders to play the antagonist in 'SVC63'. Both actors are renowned for their powerful performances and distinct screen presence. A report in Mid Day reveals that the script demands an actor who can stand toe-to-toe with Salman Khan. Given their contrasting styles, the team is taking time to finalize the casting decision. Earlier, Arvind Swamy was also considered for the role.
Powerful Backing for the Project
'SVC63' brings together director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. The film features Nayanthara as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Salman Khan. This combination has already generated significant anticipation among audiences.
Shoot Progress and Upcoming Schedules
The film has completed its first schedule, with director Vamshi Paidipally wrapping up initial portions. The team is now planning to head to Manali for the next schedule, followed by a major leg of shooting in Hyderabad. Reports suggest that the antagonist will be finalized before the Hyderabad schedule begins. The face-off sequences between Salman Khan and the villain are expected to be shot during this leg.
Release Plans
'SVC63' is being planned as a grand theatrical release, with the makers eyeing an Eid 2027 launch. This film also marks Salman Khan’s first collaboration with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju, adding to the excitement.
Delay for 'Maatrubhumi'
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s other project, 'Maatrubhumi', has faced a slight delay. Initially scheduled for an April release, the makers have postponed it without announcing a new date. Fans will have to wait a bit longer for this film.
