Podcast Video Sparks Controversy Over Allu Arjun's Alleged 42 Rules
A recent episode of the Sweekriti Talks podcast has ignited a firestorm of discussion online, centering on brand strategist Kaveri Baruah's claims about Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun. In the now-private video, Baruah alleged that before meeting the Pushpa actor, his team provided a list of 42 dos and don'ts, detailing strict protocols such as avoiding eye contact and not shaking hands.
Podcaster Alleges Coordinated Harassment After Removing Video
Following the video's viral spread, podcaster Sweekriti took to her Instagram stories to announce she had removed the content. She cited "coordinated harassment" from PR machinery and bot accounts as the reason, expressing concern for Baruah's career. In her posts, Sweekriti stated, "I've removed the video after my guest faced coordinated harassment from PR machinery and bot accounts. She holds a responsible position in a reputed organization, and I refuse to let her career be jeopardized due to online bullying." She further added, "A woman can't live in peace & make content on the internet!! Shocking Allu Arjun PR attacking me."
Kaveri Baruah's Detailed Claims About the Encounter
In the podcast, Kaveri Baruah described her experience with Allu Arjun, highlighting the extensive entourage and managerial layers common among South Indian stars. She claimed, "My another interesting encounter was with Allu Arjun, the mega star of Hyderabad. South stars come with entourage. Before meeting him, we had a note which had 42 dos and don'ts. And they have manager ka manager ka manager. They are very strict, like 'don't look into sir's eyes, don't shake your hands'." The video has since been made private on Instagram and YouTube, and Baruah has deactivated her Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
Allu Arjun's Team Issues Strong Denial and Legal Threat
In response to the viral allegations, Allu Arjun's team released an official statement categorically denying the claims. The statement asserted, "Certain recent comments made about Mr. Allu Arjun are completely baseless and untrue. He has always conducted himself with the utmost dignity and honour. We take these false allegations seriously. Our legal team is initiating defamation proceedings against those responsible. We request everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information." This move came after the video prompted significant online criticism of the actor.
The controversy has drawn widespread attention, blending elements of celebrity culture, online harassment, and media ethics. As the situation unfolds, it underscores the intense scrutiny faced by public figures and the rapid spread of unverified claims in the digital age. The removal of the video and Baruah's social media deactivation add layers to the narrative, raising questions about privacy and accountability in entertainment journalism.
