Amy Duggar Condemns Cousin Joseph's Jail Conversations with Wife Kendra
Amy Duggar has publicly voiced her strong disapproval of her cousin, Joseph Duggar, and his interactions with his wife, Kendra Duggar, during his incarceration. In a series of social media videos shared on Thursday, the 39-year-old reality TV personality expressed sharp criticism over Joseph's behavior and Kendra's response to it.
Criticism of Joseph's 'Competent' Remark in Jail Calls
In a TikTok video, Amy Duggar highlighted a specific instance from Joseph's jail calls, where he referred to Kendra as 'competent'. She slammed this comment, stating, 'You hear this? He called his wife 'competent,' and she took it as a compliment.' Amy further elaborated, 'Um, last time I checked, marriage isn't a performance review, and she's not your employee. And she's not filing paperwork, so what the crap is that?' She suggested that such language reflects a low bar in their relationship, adding, 'But I think that's what happens when the bar is set so low. It's so sad that it seems like she will accept any breadcrumb that comes her way, and that means that she's probably been starving for a very long time.'
Amy Questions Kendra's Loyalty Amid Arrest
In a follow-up video, Amy Duggar also appeared to criticize Kendra for standing by Joseph's side following his arrest. She lamented, 'How in the h*** can she not be so unbelievably distraught and mad and disgusted at him?' Amy attributed this to toxic systems, explaining, 'Oh, just wait, I'll tell you why, because women in these really toxic systems, like this one, are taught that anger is a sin.' This commentary underscores Amy's concerns about the dynamics within the Duggar family and broader cultural issues.
Background on Joseph Duggar's Arrest and Legal Situation
Joseph Duggar, 31, was arrested in Arkansas on March 18 on charges related to child molestation. After being held at Washington County for several weeks, he was extradited to Florida. Joseph was released from jail on March 31 after posting a $600,000 bail and pleading not guilty to the charges. His case continues to unfold, drawing significant public attention due to the family's reality TV fame.
