Anishma Anilkumar Returns Home for Vishu After Three-Year Absence
Actress Anishma Anilkumar, currently filming a Tamil project in Tirunelveli, is making a special journey back to Kerala to celebrate Vishu with her family this year. The Maranamass actress, who grew up in Thiruvananthapuram and now resides in Kochi, expressed particular excitement about reuniting with loved ones for the traditional festival.
Long-Awaited Family Reunion
"I haven't celebrated Vishu at home for the past three years, so it feels special that I can finally be there this time," Anishma revealed. Her hectic shooting schedules have kept her away from family celebrations, making this homecoming especially meaningful.
Cherished Childhood Memories
Recalling vibrant Vishu mornings from her youth, Anishma described cherished rituals: "Every year, we would visit a nearby temple that our family regularly attends. Then, there's the Vishu kani. I used to see the kani early in the morning with my achan, amma and grandparents." These traditions formed the cornerstone of her festive experiences.
Deeper Meaning of Vishu
For Anishma, Vishu transcends mere celebration. "It's about hope — the belief that the coming year will be better," she explained, highlighting the festival's spiritual and optimistic dimensions that resonate deeply with her.
Anticipating the Festive Feast
The actress is particularly looking forward to the traditional sadhya feast. "After hectic schedules, going home and enjoying a proper sadhya is something I really look forward to," she said, emphasizing how the elaborate vegetarian meal symbolizes comfort and familial connection.
Simple Yet Meaningful Plans
Her Vishu day will follow a familiar, heartfelt routine: "It will be a complete family affair — waking up early, seeing the kani, visiting the temple, enjoying sadhya and spending time with my parents and grandparents. That's been our Vishu routine for years." This structured yet intimate celebration reinforces family bonds.
Reconnecting with Friends
Beyond immediate family, the trip home offers opportunities to reconnect with friends. "That's another part of Vishu I'm looking forward to," Anishma noted, acknowledging how the festival facilitates broader social reunions alongside core family gatherings.
Anishma's return underscores the enduring importance of cultural traditions and family connections amidst demanding professional commitments, serving as a reminder of Vishu's timeless appeal in Kerala's cultural landscape.
