Music maestro AR Rahman delivered a stirring performance at the Attari-Wagah border in Punjab's Amritsar, paying homage to the Border Security Force (BSF) ahead of the release of his upcoming film 'Main Vaapas Aaunga'. The event, which drew thousands of visitors, was opened by Rahman with his iconic composition 'Chanda Suraj Lakhon Taare', before transitioning into songs from the film.
Star-Studded Event
The performance was attended by several notable personalities, including singer Mohit Chauhan, businesswoman and artist Ananya Birla, film director Imtiaz Ali, and actor Vedang Raina. The gathering highlighted the cultural significance of the border location, which usually hosts the daily Beating Retreat ceremony.
Tribute to BSF
Rahman's concert was specifically organized as a tribute to the BSF personnel who guard the nation's borders. The musician's choice of the Attari border, a symbol of national pride, underscored the theme of patriotism in his upcoming film. The audience, comprising locals and tourists, was visibly moved by the performance.
