Telugu Actor Satyadev Explains Why He Stays Politically Neutral in Public
Satyadev on Why He Avoids Political Statements in Public

Telugu actor Satyadev is currently busy with the release of his upcoming film Rao Bahadur, directed by Venkatesh Maha. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about the challenges of being a public figure and why he believes actors need to exercise caution when expressing their political inclinations.

Why He Chooses to Stay Neutral

In a conversation on the Raw Talks with VK podcast, the Kingdom actor expressed his belief that someone in the entertainment industry cannot always give an honest opinion. He explained that an artist would not want to lose any section of the audience. "Because, at the end of the day, if you want an audience to watch your film, your political inclinations or something particular cannot be public," he said.

According to him, his primary responsibility is to make films and ensure that people come to watch them. Satyadev added, "Because people from all walks of life watch films, what is my job? It is to make a film and to ensure people watch it—that is my end goal. When I cater to 10 people, I want to be sure I don't lose a single audience member. In such a case, I need to talk carefully."

Satyadev Calls It a Business Model

Further elaborating, he described this approach as a business model that prioritizes the audience. "That's a business model; it's inevitable. I can never be vocal about what I like and don't like," he said. The actor also shared that if someone wants to openly support a side, they need to be financially secure enough to handle any consequences that may follow. He admitted that he would never publicly reveal his real thoughts.

Satyadev's Work

On the work front, Satyadev was last seen in Kingdom, starring alongside Vijay Deverakonda. His next film, Rao Bahadur, is set to hit the big screens on July 3. Additionally, he will be working on Samavarthi, Full Bottle, and Garuda: Chapter One.
