The son of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar, married his fiancée Saaniya Chndhok on Tuesday, March 5, in a grand wedding ceremony held in Mumbai. The event was a glittering affair, drawing a constellation of stars from the worlds of cricket, Bollywood, and politics to bless the newlyweds.

Cricketing Legends Grace the Occasion

Among the early arrivals were several of Sachin Tendulkar's former teammates and close friends from his illustrious playing career. Former India captain MS Dhoni attended with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, both elegantly dressed in matching white ensembles. Dhoni chose a classic bandhgala, while Sakshi wore a simple yet graceful embroidered suit.

Veteran cricketers Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Yuvraj Singh, and Irfan Pathan were also spotted at the venue, adding to the star power of the celebration. Current players Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, and Suresh Raina marked their presence, with Shaw and Raina attending alongside their wives.

The wedding was not just a cricketing reunion but also a Bollywood extravaganza. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan arrived twinning in ivory outfits. Jaya Bachchan opted for a beautiful saree, while Big B wore a white kurta pyjama complemented by a shawl.

Their son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also graced the event. Abhishek looked dapper in a navy blue sherwani, and Aishwarya appeared gorgeous in a light blue Anarkali adorned with intricate silver work.

Political and Sporting Dignitaries in Attendance

The celebrations saw the arrival of Jay Shah, Chairman of the International Cricket Council, highlighting the event's significance in the sporting world. Earlier in February, Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali Tendulkar had personally extended wedding invitations to several high-profile political figures.

They met Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his official residence, Nandanvan, in Mumbai to invite him. Invitations were also sent to President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for the celebrations.

Pre-Wedding Festivities Set the Stage

The wedding festivities commenced earlier in the week, with traditional haldi and sangeet ceremonies hosted in Mumbai on March 3 and 4. These pre-wedding events added to the joyous atmosphere, building anticipation for the main ceremony on March 5.
