Bollywood Stars Show Mixed Response in BMC Elections

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections displayed a clear split among Bollywood celebrities this year. Many famous actors and personalities stepped out to cast their votes, demonstrating civic responsibility. However, a significant number of prominent film industry figures were noticeably absent from polling booths.

Major Celebrities Who Missed Voting

Several high-profile Bollywood stars did not participate in the voting process. The Bachchan family, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan, were among the notable absentees. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also appeared to have skipped the elections.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family were not spotted at any polling station. Madhuri Dixit, another beloved actress, remained absent from the civic exercise.

The list of missing celebrities extended further. Actors Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Ajay Devgn, and Farhan Akhtar did not cast their votes. Sonakshi Sinha, Kajol, Karan Johar, and Rani Mukerji also seemed to have given the elections a miss.

None of these stars publicly addressed their reasons for skipping the polls. Their absence remained unexplained as voting concluded across Mumbai.

Celebrities Who Exercised Their Democratic Right

On the positive side, numerous Bollywood personalities actively participated in the democratic process. Salman Khan arrived at his polling booth to cast his vote. Aamir Khan also performed his civic duty.

Younger stars showed equal enthusiasm. Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal were spotted voting. Actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sonali Bendre joined them at the polling stations.

The Kapoor family had strong representation. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor both exercised their franchise. Saif Ali Khan also participated in the voting process.

Veteran figures set inspiring examples. Legendary poet and lyricist Gulzar, aged 91, arrived to cast his vote. His presence drew admiration from fellow voters and fans.

Seasoned actresses demonstrated their commitment to democracy. Saira Banu, Hema Malini, and Shabana Azmi were all seen voting at their respective booths.
