The 5th edition of the Bollywood Maha Arogya Shivir, a massive free medical camp, was successfully conducted on January 18, 2026, at Chitrakoot Ground in Andheri West, Mumbai. The event saw a star-studded presence, with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty gracing the occasion as the chief guest and actor Tusshar Kapoor serving as the guest of honour. They were joined by key organisers Dr Manish Motwani and Dr Dharmendra Kumar from the Rotary Club, who spearheaded this philanthropic initiative.

Distinguished Guests and Inaugural Ceremony

The camp attracted a wide array of notable personalities from the film industry and beyond. Attendees included actors such as Deepak Parashar, Dilip Sen, Sangeeta Tiwari, and Upasana Singh, along with figures like Biranchi Das, Swapnil Dhar, Sanjay Prakash, Manoj Agarwal, M K Ramaiya, Gyaneshwar Patil, Naresh Malhotra, and many others. Support also came from Vishal Singh, Annu Singh, fashion designer Archana Kochhar, Mahesh Manwani, B N Tiwari, Amit Doshi, Dr Dilip Pawar, Dr Govind Reddy, Dr Subhash, Harish Choksi, Mahendra Poddar, Yogita Borkar, Ani Bhushan, and Dr Anil Pande.

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the spread of health awareness. All guests were honoured with bouquets, adding a touch of elegance to the event's noble cause.

Comprehensive Medical Services and Impactful Outcomes

This free medical camp provided extensive healthcare services to an impressive 56,000 patients. The offerings included general health check-ups, eye examinations with spectacles, blood tests, dental care, ENT consultations, surgical evaluations, gynaecology, urology, dermatology, cancer screenings, paediatric care, X-rays, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments, mammographies, and the distribution of medicines and health cards.

The camp's impact was substantial, with 1,200 wheelchairs distributed to those in need. Medical professionals conducted 13,000 eye tests, identified 58 surgical cases, and provided medicines valued at Rs 2.5 crore. Additional diagnostic services included 13,000 diabetes tests, 21,000 blood tests, 200 mammographies, 525 electrocardiograms (ECGs), and 900 BMD tests. The event was supported by a dedicated team of over 800 doctors, 1,100 paramedical staff, and 300 volunteers, ensuring smooth operations and quality care.

Organiser's Vision and Record-Breaking Achievements

Dr Dharmendra Kumar, one of the key organisers, highlighted that this camp has been organised annually for the past five years, specifically targeting members of the film industry, media professionals, and their families. Guests at the event praised his relentless efforts, noting that his organisation has set a world record for conducting the highest number of free mega medical camps.

Under Dr Kumar's leadership, the trust has expanded its reach significantly, conducting over 33,000 medical camps across India. These initiatives have benefited more than 6 crore people, distributing life-saving medicines worth over Rs 1,500 crore. The trust has also provided 1.5 crore spectacles and over 34 lakh wheelchairs, conducted 1.2 crore tuberculosis (TB) tests, treated over 1.17 lakh TB patients, and completed more than 4.2 lakh cervical cancer screenings. Currently, the organisation operates 56 mobile medical vans and 24 ambulance hubs nationwide, ensuring healthcare access in remote and underserved areas.
