Chiranjeevi's Fitness Discipline and Self-Motivation Revealed by Co-Star

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently experiencing the pinnacle of his illustrious career at 70 years old, with his latest film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu becoming the only major Sankranti blockbuster and crossing the remarkable Rs 350 crore mark worldwide. The film, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Anil Ravipudi, has grossed an impressive Rs 358 crore globally, outperforming other big-budget releases including Prabhas' The Raja Saab.

Co-Star Reveals Chiranjeevi's Extraordinary Fitness Commitment

Amid discussions about star value, budgets, and age in the Telugu film industry, Chiranjeevi's co-star Harsha Vardhan has opened up about the veteran actor's exceptional dedication to fitness. Vardhan emphasized that Chiranjeevi's physical discipline transcends age, stating that "it's not about age, but the passion to stay fit."

Vardhan elaborated on Chiranjeevi's natural physique and control over his body, noting that the actor doesn't rely on body pads to appear fit. "He has extreme command over his body," Vardhan explained. "He has performed several unique stunts and dance steps — and that's not possible without having full control over your body."

The Megastar's Disciplined Lifestyle

According to Vardhan, Chiranjeevi maintains a remarkably controlled diet and workout regimen. "He eats normal food, but in extremely limited quantities," Vardhan revealed. "By the time you start eating, he will already be done. That's how controlled his diet is."

The co-star also highlighted Chiranjeevi's unwavering commitment to training, stating that whether it's raining or a shoot gets cancelled, he never skips his workout sessions. Vardhan recalled how Chiranjeevi went out of shape during his brief political phase but returned to his disciplined fitness routine upon re-entering cinema.

Chiranjeevi: His Own Biggest Fan

Perhaps the most intriguing revelation from Vardhan concerns Chiranjeevi's primary motivation. The co-star observed that Chiranjeevi's biggest fan is Chiranjeevi himself. Vardhan explained this unique perspective: "His real name is Shankara Vara Prasad — which is also the film's title. In reality, he is Shankara Vara Prasad. And this man is a huge fan of Chiranjeevi."

According to Vardhan, Shankara Vara Prasad's constant effort to keep the image of Chiranjeevi immortal is what drives the megastar's dedication and discipline. "All this effort is to protect the image of Chiranjeevi," Vardhan stated.

Film's Financial Success and Budget Management

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu was produced at a filmmaking cost of Rs 28 crore and has earned Rs 358 crore worldwide. However, the overall project budget, including remunerations, reportedly reached Rs 200 crore.

Director Anil Ravipudi emphasized the importance of budget control in big-scale films, stating: "The filmmaking cost was between Rs 28 crore and Rs 30 crore. There is a simple rule — if remuneration is high, production costs should be controlled. If production costs are high, remuneration must be adjusted. If both are high, it creates problems. Cost failure is equal to committing suicide. I never enter that space."

The film's success at the box office, combined with revelations about Chiranjeevi's fitness discipline and self-motivation, has sparked renewed conversations about longevity, dedication, and star power in Indian cinema.
