According to Bollywood Hungama, advance booking for 'Cocktail 2' commenced at midnight on June 14, with fans swiftly securing their tickets. New details have also emerged. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the film an 'A' certificate, restricting viewing to adults only. The film's runtime is 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes.
'Cocktail 2' Marks a Milestone for Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna, and Shahid Kapoor
'Cocktail 2' holds special significance for each lead actor. For Kriti Sanon, it is her first adult-rated film in her 12-year career. Rashmika Mandanna previously starred in the blockbuster 'Animal' (2023), making 'Cocktail 2' her second 'A'-rated Hindi film. Shahid Kapoor is no stranger to adult-rated films; this will be his fifth, following 'Kaminey' (2009), 'Udta Punjab' (2016), 'Kabir Singh' (2019), and 'O'Romeo' (2026).
How 'Cocktail 2' Differs from the Original 'Cocktail'
The first 'Cocktail' was released in 2012, featuring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty in her debut. Both films were directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. However, a key difference exists: the original received a U/A certificate from the CBFC, making it suitable for all audiences. Its runtime was 146 minutes, four minutes shorter than 'Cocktail 2'.
