Before her rise to fame, Devoleena worked as a jewellery designer in Mumbai. Her entry into the entertainment industry began when she auditioned for the dance reality series Dance India Dance 2. She made her acting debut in 2011 with the show Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto.
