The prayer meet for Dharmendra is scheduled to take place from 5 pm to 7:30 pm today on November 27 at the Seaside Lawns, Taj Lands End Bandra in Mumbai. The invitation features a captivating photograph of a young Dharmendra, reflecting the vibrant spirit that characterized his six-decade-long career in Indian cinema.

Dharmendra, who would have celebrated his 90th birthday on December 8, had been receiving intermittent medical treatment in Mumbai over recent weeks. His final rites were conducted on November 25 in a private ceremony attended exclusively by family members and select film industry personalities.

Distinguished Guests and Musical Tribute

The Deol family will be joined by close relatives and numerous members of the film fraternity at this emotional gathering. In a particularly moving gesture, the family has arranged for renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam to perform some of Dharmendra's most iconic songs from his extensive filmography.

According to sources close to the family, the musical tribute will include evergreen numbers that defined the actor's on-screen romance and charisma. Dharmendra's remarkable versatility allowed him to seamlessly transition between rugged action roles and sensitive romantic leads. Fans will have one final opportunity to see Dharmendra on screen in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on December 25, 2025.
