In a monumental tribute to his global stardom, Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, has achieved an unprecedented milestone. A prestigious commercial tower in Dubai has been officially named after him, making him the first actor in history to receive such an honour. The grand launch event for 'Shahrukhz Danube' was held in Mumbai on Friday, marking a proud moment for India and its cinema.

The event was a glittering affair attended by the superstar alongside choreographer-friend Farah Khan. Shah Rukh Khan truly set the stage on fire, captivating the audience with his signature open-arms pose and a glimpse of his famous 'Don' walk. He further electrified the atmosphere with a brief performance, including the iconic hook steps from the song Chaiyaa Chaiyya.
The emotional high point came when he delivered his legendary dialogue from the film Om Shanti Om: "Itni shiddat se mein ne tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai. Aaj aap sabne mujhe meri chaht se mila diya. Thanks, very much." This left the entire audience cheering for the beloved actor.

At the launch, an emotional Shah Rukh Khan shared his heartfelt thoughts, remembering his late mother. He expressed his gratitude to Rizwan Sajan, the Founder and Chairman of the Dubai-based Danube Group, for specifically choosing to host the event in India. "I really wanted the event to take place here, as I come from here," Khan stated.
He added, "My mother would be very happy. It is a very big honour. When my kids come, I will say, 'Papa ka naam likha hai, dekho.'" Khan also highlighted that he has been closely involved with the project's details for the past two months, describing it as a state-of-the-art yet affordable property intended to be an inspiration for people starting their lives in Dubai.
Inside the Magnificent Shahrukhz Danube Tower
So, what makes this tribute so special? The Shahrukhz Danube is not just any building. It is a colossal 56-storey premium commercial tower situated on the famous Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The property boasts a staggering gross saleable value of ₹4,000 crore.
Reportedly spanning over 1 million square feet, the tower will feature grand interiors and more than 40 world-class amenities. A truly unique highlight will be a statue of Shah Rukh Khan in his iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge pose, with arms wide open, welcoming everyone at the entrance.
The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2029, with property prices starting from USD 460,000. This landmark achievement solidifies Shah Rukh Khan's status not just as a cinematic legend, but as a global cultural icon.
