Following his triumphant win on Bigg Boss 19 earlier this year, actor Gaurav Khanna has ventured into a fresh project, taking on the role of sutradhaar in the YouTube series Jabb Zodiacs Met. This 12-episode series is directed by Ishika Shahi, the daughter of renowned producer Rajan Shahi, and has been conceptualized by Pearl Grey with production handled by Rajan Shahi himself.
Khanna's Experience with the Series and Gen Z Creators
In a recent conversation, Gaurav Khanna shared his thoughts on this new endeavor. He expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, "I played the sutradhaar in Jabb Zodiacs Met. I completed my portion in just two days, and it was a highly rewarding experience. I always enjoy experimenting with diverse formats and exploring new creative avenues." He highlighted the innovative approach brought by Gen Z creators like Ishika Shahi, noting their focus and clarity. "What truly stood out for me was the freshness and newness in the process that these young talents introduce. They are incredibly focused and have a clear vision of their goals. I even mentioned to Rajan Sir and Pearl that Ishika is exceptionally talented," he added.
Future Prospects and Current Commitments
When questioned about the possibility of acting in a similar series in the future, Khanna remained open but cautious due to his busy schedule. "At the moment, my dates are quite packed, which doesn't allow me to take on something like this immediately. However, I never say never—opportunities can always arise down the line," he remarked. Currently, he is balancing work with extensive travel, attending events and meeting fans. "I am travelling extensively for various events and connecting with people, as I didn't have much time for this earlier. Post-Bigg Boss, I have been overwhelmed by the immense love and support from everyone," he shared.
Reflections on Bigg Boss and Public Feedback
Khanna also reflected on the consistent feedback he has received since his Bigg Boss victory. "Many people have told me they appreciated the way I played the game, maintaining a sense of class and dignity throughout. It's heartening to hear that my conduct moved them, as that was always my intention. I am glad I stayed true to my own terms and kept my dignity intact," he concluded, emphasizing the positive impact of his journey on viewers.
Comparisons Between Rajan and Ishika Shahi
Addressing comparisons between producer Rajan Shahi and his daughter Ishika, Khanna acknowledged some similarities but stressed their individuality. "I do see a reflection of Rajan Sir in her, particularly in their dedication and work ethic. However, they are distinct individuals with their own unique working styles. Naturally, there is some influence, but Ishika has carved out her own identity, which is exactly how it should be," he explained, praising both for their contributions to the industry.
