Rajpal Yadav's Silence Disappoints Gurukul Students Who Sent Him Savings
Gurukul Students Upset as Rajpal Yadav Ignores Their Support

Gurukul Students in Uttar Pradesh Feel Let Down by Rajpal Yadav's Lack of Response

In a heartfelt yet disheartening turn of events, approximately 40 students from a gurukul school located in Shahjahanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, have voiced their disappointment after comedian-actor Rajpal Yadav failed to meet or acknowledge them. This comes despite their earlier gesture of sending him money collected from their personal pocket savings during his time in jail.

Emotional Gesture from Young Supporters

According to authorities from the Gurukul Seva Trust, the students diligently filled a piggy bank with funds saved from their daily pocket expenses. They posted this to Yadav's ancestral village address in Kundra on February 21 as a token of solidarity and support. Alongside the savings, the children included an emotional letter expressing their desire to meet him following his release from incarceration.

In a 29-second video that has since gone viral across social media platforms, the children can be heard saying, "Namaste Rajpal bhaiya, we have learnt that you have returned home after being released from jail. Congratulations to you. We all want to meet you and know whether you received the help we sent. If you did, why did you not respond to our letter? We are upset with you."

They further elaborated that even if a personal meeting was not feasible, Yadav could have at least spoken to them over the phone to provide reassurance and acknowledge their efforts.

Rajpal Yadav's Response and Clarification

Responding to the viral video while speaking to PTI over the telephone, Rajpal Yadav explained that he had only recently returned home and had not yet had the opportunity to properly spend quality time with his family. "As far as meeting the children is concerned, I was told they were from an orphanage. In my view, if children have an ashram, they are not orphans," he stated.

When informed that the children were actually from a gurukul school, the actor clarified his position, saying, "I am a person who believes in the guru tradition, and all those children are my own. I will definitely meet them, hug them and take photographs with them."

He also mentioned that he is currently in the process of gathering details about individuals who extended help to him during his legal troubles, indicating a potential follow-up on the students' gesture.

Background on the Loan Case and Student Support

Rajpal Yadav, who hails from Shahjahanpur and is renowned for his comic roles in Hindi cinema, had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore in 2010 from Murli Projects Private Limited for his film Ata Pata Lapata. He was subsequently sent to jail after failing to repay the loan amount.

It was during this challenging period that the gurukul students decided to send their small savings as a gesture of emotional support. School chairman Kumar Sagar told PTI that some additional amount was also contributed before dispatching the piggy bank. Now, with the video circulating widely, the children eagerly await what they hope will be a warm and fulfilling meeting with the actor they supported during a difficult chapter of his life.

The situation highlights the emotional investment of young fans and the expectations that arise from acts of kindness, especially in times of adversity.
