Henry Cavill is set to share the screen with Kevin Hart in a new action comedy film. The two actors will portray rival spies who cross paths in a Lamaze class after their wives become close friends.

Production Details

According to Variety, the untitled project is backed by Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds' companies, with McG directing. The screenplay was written by Adam and Aaron Nee, whose latest film Masters of the Universe is currently in theaters, along with Jonathan Tropper. The film is based on a short story by Sean Lewis.

Synopsis

The official synopsis reads: "Their double lives collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways, forcing the two men to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood."

In addition to starring, Hart is involved behind the scenes via his production banner, alongside Luke Kelly-Clyne and Bryan Smiley.

Cavill's Upcoming Projects

Henry Cavill will next appear in the Highlander reboot, directed by Chad Stahelski, known for John Wick, and Rawson Marshall Thurber's film for Amazon MGM Studios. Cavill has a long history with Netflix, having starred in the popular series The Witcher and opposite Millie Bobby Brown in the Enola Holmes movies. The Wrap first reported his casting.

Hart's Netflix Partnership

Kevin Hart has enjoyed a prolific partnership with Netflix, with films including the heist thriller Lift, the buddy comedy Me Time, the action-comedy The Man From Toronto, and the family drama Fatherhood, based on a true story. Last month, Hart was the target of Netflix's live comedy roast, and his next comedy, 72 Hours, debuts on the streamer on July 24, 2026.
