Fan Denied Entry at Honey Singh Concert Breaks Silence After Viral Video Controversy
A video capturing a dramatic moment at Yo Yo Honey Singh's Mumbai concert on March 28, 2026, rapidly spread across the internet, sparking widespread discussion and debate. The clip featured a female fan, later identified as Roohi, attempting to climb over a security gate after being denied entry to the venue. Now, Roohi has come forward to clarify the incident from her perspective, while also launching a strong critique against the unauthorized sharing of the video online.
Roohi's Apology and Explanation of the Incident
In a detailed video posted to her Instagram account, Roohi offered a sincere apology for her behavior, attributing it to the intense emotions of the moment. She revealed that she possessed a valid ticket for the fan pit area but was forced to wait approximately 40 to 50 minutes outside. As someone who struggles with anxiety, Roohi explained that the overwhelming crowd and prolonged delay became unbearable.
"I climbed, thinking that being a girl, if I climbed up, they would open the gates, and actually they did. After two minutes, they opened the gate for all of us," she stated, describing her thought process during the incident.
Criticism of Non-Consensual Video Sharing and Privacy Violation
Following her apology, Roohi shifted focus to a more serious issue: the violation of her privacy. She emphasized that the video was recorded and circulated across the internet without her consent, inadvertently exposing parts of her body.
"The video was recorded. It was circulated all over the internet, where my private body was unintentionally exposed without my consent. And that is a crime," she asserted firmly.
Roohi expressed feelings of helplessness, noting that many individuals face similar situations where unwanted content is posted online with limited recourse for removal unless one holds significant influence. She described the experience as heartbreaking and overwhelming, particularly due to the hateful comments she encountered.
Honey Singh's Response and Roohi's Relief
After the concert, Yo Yo Honey Singh himself shared the viral clip on his Instagram Story, affectionately referring to Roohi as "Sherni" (lioness). This gesture provided Roohi with much-needed relief and support.
"When Honey Singh himself posted the story saying, Sherni fan of mine, I felt a little relieved that, okay, there are people looking at it in a decent way who are actually supporting me. Most of all, my own family supported me to make this video, that you should go out there and tell people the right story. And I'm grateful for that," she shared.
Call for Stricter Social Media Regulations
Concluding her message, Roohi issued a plea to authorities and social media platforms like Instagram to implement more rigorous rules regarding content sharing. She urged for immediate removal of any material that violates an individual's rights or privacy.
"It should be taken strictly, is what my request is to all the authorities, Instagram, or any social platform for that matter. They should make strict rules that if a content is being posted online, which is against the violation, which is against somebody's rights, it should be removed with immediate effect," she emphasized.
