Ishita Dutta: Goa, Drishyam 3, Motherhood & Health Recovery

Ishita Dutta Praises Goa as Perfect Family Escape Amid Drishyam 3 Shoot

Actress Ishita Dutta, recently filming in Goa for the highly anticipated sequel Drishyam 3 starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran, has described the coastal state as one of her favorite personal retreats. "Goa is wonderfully close to Mumbai, with a familiar climate that makes it ideal for traveling with young children," she shares enthusiastically.

Unexpected Professional Comeback After Second Child

Dutta reveals that her return to acting so soon after the birth of her second daughter was entirely unplanned. "I genuinely did not expect to resume work this quickly. I was actually organizing a family vacation when the call from the Drishyam team arrived," she explains. Her husband, actor Vatsal Sheth, strongly encouraged her to accept the role. "By the time filming commenced, our daughter Veda was six months old. I am profoundly grateful I took this opportunity."

Overcoming a Painful Health Setback Post-Pregnancy

The actress endured a significant health challenge during this period. Diagnosed with gallbladder stones during her second pregnancy, she underwent necessary surgery just two months after delivering her baby. "It was an extremely painful and difficult chapter. I lost approximately 16 kilograms in an unhealthy manner and became very weak," Dutta recounts. "The initial months with my newborn were exceptionally challenging due to my recovery."

Family Support as the Cornerstone of Balance

When asked about managing her career alongside motherhood, Dutta emphasizes that robust family support makes it feasible. "With two young children, having a strong family network is essential. My parents and my in-laws have been my greatest pillars of strength," she adds gratefully.

Reflecting on her time in Goa, Dutta also highlights the state's culinary and leisure appeal. "The resorts and food are absolutely wonderful; I often say Goa boasts some of the finest restaurants in the entire country. I find immense peace and a sense of freedom by the beach," she notes, mentioning she spent time there during both of her pregnancies.
