Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has publicly expressed his strong admiration for the film 'Subedaar', starring veteran actor Anil Kapoor. After watching the movie on the OTT platform Prime Video, Kashyap shared a comprehensive and detailed review on his social media channels, highlighting both the film's strengths and his personal viewing experience.

In his Instagram post, Kashyap emphasized that 'Subedaar' was clearly designed for theatrical viewing. He wrote, "SUBEDAAR on @primevideoin should have been a theatrical. Would have loved to experience it in cinemas; it's clearly shot on anamorphic for the big screen, designed for the big screen." The director praised director Suresh Triveni for creating an immersive world of Bundelkhand and Chambal, complete with its entrenched patriarchy and entitlement.
