Authorities have arrested the main shooter in Rajasthan and taken five additional accused into custody, bringing the total number of arrests in this high-profile case to 11.

According to reports from IANS, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch successfully apprehended the primary shooter in Rajasthan. The operation also led to the detention of five more individuals connected to the case. All arrested persons are being transported to Mumbai, the financial capital of India, for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
In a related development, some suspects have been detained from Uttar Pradesh as part of the broader investigation into the organized nature of the crime. This indicates the police are pursuing all possible links and networks involved in the incident.

On February 11, five accused in the Rohit Shetty firing case were produced before a special court. The police formally applied the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, commonly known as MCOCA, to all individuals involved in the case. Following this application, the special MCOCA court ordered police custody for the five accused until February 17, 2026.
It is noteworthy that while the Mumbai Crime Branch had requested 15 days of custody, the court granted custody only until the specified date in 2026, highlighting the judicial oversight in this sensitive matter.
