According to available information, Kishan Shinde came in contact with a live wire outside his house and received a fatal shock. When his family members tried to rescue him, they too were electrocuted. The incident took place in a village under the jurisdiction of Satara police station.

Response and investigation

Local police reached the spot after being informed and sent the bodies for post-mortem. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the live wire and any negligence on part of the electricity department. The family’s neighbors reported that the wire had been hanging loose for days.
