"And there was a wedding cake by our section, but it was a small wedding cake. I just assumed there was a wedding cake for each section in the back," Short recounted, eliciting laughter from the audience. With a fork in hand and perhaps after enjoying a cocktail, he thought it would be a nice gesture to offer cake to his friend Steve Martin.
