In a lighthearted moment at the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special in Hollywood on Monday, singer and actress Miley Cyrus jokingly referred to podcaster Alex Cooper as "kinda creepy." The 33-year-old Grammy winner made the playful remark on stage at the El Capitan Theatre, teasing the 31-year-old Call Her Daddy host for becoming her neighbor.
Neighborly Banter and Nostalgic Celebrations
During the event, which celebrated the iconic Disney Channel series, Cyrus thanked Cooper for helping bring the nostalgic special to life. She quipped that Cooper had "creepily" moved in next door to her after interviewing her in her garden back in August 2020. "Alex being a superfan... it's kinda creepy... she is also my neighbor, which is also creepy. She got money and then moved next door to me," Cyrus said with a laugh.
Cyrus explained that she had called Cooper with the idea for the anniversary special, saying, "I called her with this wild idea, 'Do you think it could be a good idea to do a Hannah Montana anniversary special?' But because I was in the middle of it and was Hannah, I didn't know what you would all want." She added that Cooper's familiarity with her location made the hosting arrangement unusual, noting, "There was no other host, I was like I'll just walk next door, yeah it was weird. And she was like, 'Oh my god you live here' and she had interviewed me at my house five years ago so she knew where I was."

The special also featured a rare joint red carpet appearance by Cyrus and her fiancé, Maxx Morando. The couple, who have been together for four years since sparking a romance in late 2021 following Cyrus's divorce from Liam Hemsworth, made a stylish entrance.
