Nandish Sandhu Breaks Silence on Smriti Mandhana-Palaash Muchhal Wedding Cancellation

The highly anticipated wedding between Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer-composer Palaash Muchhal, scheduled for November 2025, was abruptly called off just one day before the ceremony. While initial reports cited the ill health of Smriti's father as the official reason, subsequent allegations of infidelity against Palaash have added a controversial twist to the story. Now, actor Nandish Sandhu, who was present at the wedding venue in Sangli, has shared his firsthand account of the unfolding events.

'Let Palash Speak from His Side'

In a recent interaction with Miss Malini, Nandish Sandhu carefully addressed the sensitive situation. When questioned about the cheating allegations against Palaash Muchhal, he chose not to comment directly. "It's better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palaash speak from his side," Sandhu stated. He further emphasized that, to his knowledge, no one had approached Palaash to hear his version of events, leaving many questions unanswered.

What Actually Happened at the Venue?

Recalling the day of the cancelled wedding, Nandish revealed that he arrived at the venue unaware of the sudden change in plans. "I'd gone for the wedding. That didn't happen. And I just got to know that it's not happening at the moment," he shared. The actor confirmed that the reason communicated to guests was indeed a medical emergency involving Smriti Mandhana's father. "It's postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti's dad wasn't well. He was in the hospital. And that's why everything has been postponed," Nandish explained.

'I Feel Bad About It'

Nandish Sandhu admitted that he only learned about the infidelity allegations against Palaash Muchhal through media reports after the fact. "Later on, I got to know through the news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it," he expressed. His tone reflected genuine disappointment over the situation that has captured public attention.

Speaking about the couple's relationship, Nandish shared his personal observations with evident sadness. "Whatever the reason might have been, the wedding didn't happen. And you know, I've seen the love. I've seen how madly they were in love for the last five, six years. They were such a cute, nice couple," he recalled. His comments highlight the contrast between their long-standing romance and the current controversy.

Earlier, Vidnyan Mane, who claimed to be a childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana, made explosive allegations against Palaash. He told Hindustan Times, "I was at the wedding celebrations when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he'd get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me." These claims have added fuel to the ongoing speculation surrounding the wedding cancellation.

The situation continues to develop as both families maintain their official stance regarding the postponement, while media reports and insider accounts present conflicting narratives. The entertainment and sports communities remain divided over the truth behind this high-profile wedding that never was.
