Nani's 'Aaya Sher' in 'The Paradise' Showcases Epic Real Sets Spanning 2.5 Acres

The makers of Nani's latest mass anthem, 'Aaya Sher' from the upcoming film 'The Paradise', have unveiled the extraordinary efforts behind bringing the song's vibrant world to life. In a bold move, director Srikanth Odela and art director Avinash Kolla opted to bypass CGI entirely, instead constructing massive, tangible sets that cover over 2.5 acres. This decision reflects a commitment to authenticity and visual grandeur, with every frame of the song representing 30 days of intense labor by hundreds of dedicated workers.

Creating a Slum-Style World and the Iconic Hero House

As detailed in a recent press release, the team built a huge slum-style environment for 'Aaya Sher', where the hero, Nani, appears as the emperor of the slums. One of the most striking elements is the Hero House, also known as the Kaman Set, which dominates the screen with its imposing presence. The structure measures 60 feet in width, 45 feet in height, and 25 feet in depth, making it a centerpiece of the song.

Initially, the team constructed the Hero House with a 30-foot width, but they later expanded it by adding 15 feet on both sides to achieve the final 60-foot width. Over 25 workers toiled for nearly 20 days to complete this set, employing a special aging technique to give it an old and natural look that enhances the realism of the scene.

Unique Set Pieces: Giant Biryani Bowl and Water Village

The song also features an eye-catching giant biryani bowl-style structure, crafted with a copper finish and a rustic aged texture. This setup measures 10 feet in width, has a 20-foot radius, and stands 6 feet tall. A small team of 5 to 7 members efficiently completed this structure in just five days, showcasing the crew's versatility and creativity.

Perhaps the most ambitious undertaking was the construction of a large water body village, which spans approximately 2.5 acres and is featured prominently in the song. The team built over 60 real houses in this area, avoiding dummy structures to ensure authenticity. Nearly 50 workers dedicated 30 days to this project, with the space capable of accommodating about 500 people at once.

To create the water effects, the production brought in 100 tankers of water, a process that took seven days to fill the area. Additionally, a 20-foot by 20-foot pond with a depth of 20 feet was built to store water, further emphasizing the scale of the effort. The team also constructed a large dump yard set measuring 120 feet in length, 50 feet in width, and 30 feet in height, adding to the diverse environments depicted in the song.
