Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri is set to make her Telugu debut with the upcoming film 'Nenu Ready', starring Havish and Kavya Thapar. The actress will appear in a special song in the movie, and director Thrinadha Rao Nakkina has shared his experience of working with her.
Director Wanted to Work with Her Since 'Rockstar'
According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Thrinadha Rao revealed that he had wanted to work with Nargis ever since he watched her in 'Rockstar', where she starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor under the direction of Imtiaz Ali. The director noted that the opportunity finally came through 'Nenu Ready'. He explained that the team presented the song idea to her, and she happily agreed to join the project, marking her Telugu debut. "I watched her in Rockstar and always wanted to work with her, but it happened only now," said Thrinadha Rao.
Director Says Song is a Big Highlight
Thrinadha Rao further mentioned that the song was filmed on a grand set specially constructed at RFC, featuring several foreign dancers. According to him, the 'Housefull 3' actress worked for a couple of days on the shoot and impressed everyone with her expressions and dance performance. "She worked for a couple of days and impressed us with her dance moves and expressions. It has turned out to be one of the special highlights of our film," he added. He also commented on how actresses are now bringing more value and attention to such songs in movies. Thrinadha Rao stated that the term "item number" should no longer be used, explaining that many leading actresses and celebrities are now performing these songs, which are presented in a much bigger and better way on screen.
Hindi Release Discussions Ongoing
The director also shared that the makers are considering releasing 'Nenu Ready' in Hindi as well. He said the film has a comedy style similar to the popular 'Housefull 3' franchise, and discussions are currently underway with producers regarding a Hindi version. Thrinadha Rao expressed his desire to work with Nargis again in the future, praising her professionalism and noting that she did a very good job during the shoot. "I was highly impressed with her work and would love to cast her in a full-fledged role in the future. I'm confident she will receive more offers in Tollywood after this film," he said.
