As quoted by News 18, he stated, "It is going to be a working festival for me. Even on Eid, I am shooting for Tumbbad 2. I am very excited about bringing this character to life as it has multiple layers."

'Tumbbad 2' serves as the sequel to the 2018 folk-horror film 'Tumbbad', which later attained cult status among audiences. The original film featured Sohum Shah in the lead role of Vinayak Rao. The narrative revolved around his perilous obsession with a hidden treasure linked to the enigmatic village of Tumbbad in Maharashtra.
