A NEET aspirant from Mahoba, who had been missing for 16 days, has resurfaced and alleged that she was kidnapped outside a coaching centre and held captive for 15 days, during which she was repeatedly raped, assaulted, and threatened.

Victim's harrowing account

The woman stated, "I was raped every two hours after being injected with intoxicants. My entire body was burned with cigarettes. They would show me my brother's photo and say that if I didn't comply, they would kill him."

Police recorded the woman's statement in court and then admitted her to the district hospital for treatment.

Details of the incident

In her statement, the student said her NEET exam was scheduled for May 3. On April 30, she was walking from the library to her room when a large car stopped near her. Two or three men emerged, pulled her into the car, and injected her with intoxicants. She identified the accused as Mohit Shrivas, Ankit Shrivas, a bearded man, Hallu Shrivas, Hallu Rajput, and two or three others, including a man in his 40s who was driving.

The girl claimed she was later taken to Prayagraj and pressured to marry Mohit. The accused threatened to harm her brother if she refused.

Brother demands justice

Her brother appealed to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to ensure justice. He said, "My sister's condition is very critical. She has been admitted to a government hospital. Until the accused are punished, we will not find peace. Mohit Shrivas, Ankit Shrivas, Sant Ram Shrivas, Tej Ram Shrivas, Ajay, Hallu Rajput, Bharra Rajput, and a total of 15-20 people are involved in this entire conspiracy."

Police statement

CO City Arun Kumar Singh said the girl came to the police station herself. He mentioned that an audio-video has surfaced showing the girl married to the accused Mohit. The girl was produced in court, and her statement under Section 161 was recorded, after which she was handed over to her brother. An investigation is underway based on the statement given in court.

Background of the case

The student is a resident of Madhya Pradesh. On May 7, her family registered a kidnapping case against Mohit, Ankit, and Santram at Mahoba City Kotwali. Her mother said, "The accused Mohit and Ankit also harassed my daughter on the street one year ago, for which a case is ongoing in Chhatarpur."
