Nora Fatehi's Harrowing Account of the Crash

Taking to her Instagram Stories shortly after the incident, Fatehi posted a video message to reassure her fans and followers. In the clip, she confirmed she was in a "really serious car accident" but was out of immediate danger. "Hey guys, I'm just coming here to tell you that I am okay," she began. "Yes, I was in a really serious car accident. A drunk person that was driving under the influence smashed my car, and unfortunately, the impact was quite severe and it flung me across the car. I bashed my head on the window."

Detailing her injuries, the actor shared that she sustained minor injuries, swelling, and a slight concussion. Expressing her gratitude, she added, "I'm alive, and I'm well. Except for some minor injuries... I'm okay. I'm grateful for that. That could have ended terribly."

A Strong Public Service Message Against Drunk Driving

Fatehi did not miss the opportunity to turn her personal scare into a public service announcement. She strongly condemned the act of drinking and driving, which she believes was the direct cause of the collision. "I came to say this to say that this is why you should not drink and drive," she stated emphatically.

Elaborating on her stance, she revealed her personal aversion to alcohol and substances. "I hate alcohol to begin with. In fact, I am not someone who has ever liked the idea of alcohol or anything like that, such as drugs, weed, anything that puts you in a different state of mind… It is not something I promote or even enjoy being around…"

She expressed disbelief that such incidents continue to occur, especially in broad daylight. "It's 2025. I cannot believe that this is even a conversation," she said. "At 3 p.m. in the afternoon, I could never imagine someone would be driving under the influence and putting people in harm's way." Fatehi also pointed to the alarming frequency of such cases in India, specifically mentioning Mumbai, where innocent lives have been lost due to impaired driving.

Gratitude and Moving Forward

Concluding her emotional message, Nora Fatehi expressed profound thankfulness for her safety. "I definitely saw my life flash right in front of my eyes, and I don't wish that upon anybody," she shared. "I'm just grateful that I'm okay. Alright, love you guys."

Demonstrating remarkable professionalism, reports indicate that Nora Fatehi went on to attend the scheduled music festival later that same evening. She was set to perform alongside American DJ David Guetta. This incident comes on the heels of her recent US television debut on The Jimmy Fallon Show, where she performed her track 'What Do I Know?' with Jamaican singer Shenseea.
