Prabhas Announces Packed Film Schedule with Multiple Major Projects
Following the mixed reception to his recent horror comedy film 'The Raja Saab', superstar Prabhas is preparing for an exceptionally busy period in his career. The actor has confirmed several high-profile projects that are generating significant anticipation among fans and industry observers alike.
'Spirit' – The Most Awaited Collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Among Prabhas's upcoming ventures, 'Spirit' stands out as the most eagerly anticipated project. This 2027 Telugu-language action-drama film will see Prabhas portraying a ruthless yet honest police officer in what promises to be a powerful performance. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, renowned for his work on 'Animal', and is being developed as a pan-India production.
The impressive cast includes Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Prakash Raj in significant roles. The first look poster has already created substantial buzz, showing Prabhas in a rugged transformation with long hair, a beard, and visible bruises while holding a cigarette and glass, with Triptii Dimri lighting his cigarette in the dramatic visual.
'Fauzi' – A Patriotic Drama Set for Dussehra 2026 Release
Prabhas will next appear in 'Fauzi', a patriotic drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of 'Sita Ramam' fame. The film is scheduled for theatrical release during the Dussehra festival in 2026. In this project, Prabhas will portray a soldier, sharing screen space with veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher.
Adding to the excitement, internet personality Imanvi will make her acting debut as the female lead opposite Prabhas, bringing fresh energy to the project.
'Kalki 2' – The Highly Anticipated Mythological Sequel
Prabhas is also set to return for 'Kalki 2', the sequel to the 2024 blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Reports indicate that the actor may begin shooting from April 10, 2026. Meanwhile, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has already commenced filming, reprising his role as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's directorial mythological action film.
Expectations are running exceptionally high for this sequel, given the massive success of the original film and the continued collaboration between Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin.
Prabhas Addresses Fan Expectations and Release Plans
During a recent interaction with the team of 'Couple Friendly', Prabhas directly addressed fans' desires to see him in more films. The actor stated, "I know what you all want. That's why I'm trying to make three movies per year. But due to release schedules, only two are coming."
He further explained that filmmaking requires substantial time and careful planning of release dates, which sometimes affects the original production and distribution plans. This candid admission provides insight into the complex logistics behind major film productions.
Prabhas was last seen in director Maruthi's film 'The Raja Saab', which faced criticism for its shoddily written storyline and inconsistent pacing. Despite this setback, the actor appears more determined than ever to deliver compelling performances across multiple genres in the coming years.
