Bollywood stars Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda are offering fans a refreshingly honest and relatable perspective on their married life. The couple, who exchanged vows on March 15, 2024, recently shared intimate details about their relationship, moving beyond clichéd romance to highlight the foundational roles of friendship, comfort, and conscious commitment.
Marriage is a Beautiful Friendship, Says Pulkit
During a candid appearance on Karan Johar's talk show, Pulkit Samrat described their union as a natural progression of a deep bond. He emphasized that the core of their relationship is friendship. "It is beautiful. More than married life, I think we are best friends and best roommates. I think that's what keeps the relationship alive," Pulkit revealed. For him, the magic isn't in grand gestures but in the simplicity of daily companionship and shared routines, where both partners feel completely at ease and operate as a unified team.
Kriti Kharbanda's Wholehearted Belief in Choosing Love
Echoing her husband's sentiments, Kriti Kharbanda expressed her firm belief in the institution of marriage and the active effort it requires. "I fully recommend marriage, 100 per cent. I am a big propagator of the belief that when you find love, you must do everything to keep it in your life," she stated. Kriti views love as a daily choice that demands patience, mutual respect, and continuous effort to nurture a lasting bond, moving beyond mere passion to build a solid partnership.
Why a Live-In Relationship Was Crucial for Their Journey
A significant part of their story was the decision to live together before marriage. The couple are strong advocates for this step, having shared a home for two years prior to their wedding. Pulkit called it "the best thing to do." Kriti added a personal note, explaining how the pandemic influenced their living situation. They were together during Covid but in separate apartments. After the lockdowns, they consciously found a neutral home that belonged to neither individually but to both, symbolically and literally building their life together from the ground up.
Their love story began on the sets of their film Pagalpanti in 2019. Friendship blossomed during promotional tours and gradually evolved into a committed relationship. After several years of dating, they made it official in 2023 and finally had an intimate wedding ceremony in Manesar, Haryana, surrounded by close family and friends. Their narrative provides a genuine blueprint for modern relationships, where equality, friendship, and shared space are paramount.
