Raghav Juyal's Dual Driving Life: Mountain Roads vs. Mumbai Traffic
Raghav Juyal, the actor originally from Uttarakhand, frequently feels nostalgic for the long, scenic drives back to his hometown. Now residing in Mumbai, he prioritizes returning to Uttarakhand whenever possible, specifically to enjoy road trips with his close friends.
Navigating Mumbai's Chaotic Streets
Life in Mumbai presents its own set of difficulties, as Juyal openly acknowledges. "I am a mountain driver," he states, explaining the stark contrast in driving experiences. "The experience of driving in Mumbai is very different. This city is so crowded. It has taught me patience." He finds particular enjoyment in driving through Mumbai on Sundays, often heading to South Bombay for kebabs before returning. However, he admits he doesn't drive extensively in the city, preferring to sit in the backseat and focus on his phone.
Thrilling Drives in Uttarakhand's Terrain
The situation changes dramatically when Juyal is back in Uttarakhand. The Ba***ds of Bollywood actor loves taking control of the wheel and driving alongside his companions. While modern roads are wider and safer, he reminisces about a time when driving there was considerably more hazardous. "I learnt to drive on a Willys jeep. It has no hand brake," he recalls. "Back then, the roads were very different... a small mistake, and you could go straight down. So, all those experiences have made me a hands-on driver."
Exploring Beyond Four Wheels
In addition to cars, Raghav Juyal has a deep passion for motorcycle riding. He has embarked on biking adventures across several picturesque locations. "I hit the road on my bike in places like Nepal, Bhutan, and parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim," he shares, highlighting his love for exploration on two wheels.
Favorite Mumbai Driving Spots
When discussing preferred driving routes in Mumbai, Juyal mentions several key areas. "In Mumbai, I drive on Atal Setu, Lokhandwala backroads, and also through town... it gives me vintage vibes," he says. He also enjoys giving Mumbai tours to friends visiting from Dehradun, who are often fascinated by the city's auto-rickshaws. "They get amused seeing auto rickshaws, saying how they buzz around like flies," he adds with a smile.
