Rashmika Mandanna's 'Mysaa' Unveils Tarak Ponnappa as 'EERA'

The creators of Rashmika Mandanna's highly anticipated upcoming film 'Mysaa' have introduced a new character from the movie. On the occasion of actor Tarak Ponnappa's birthday, the team unveiled him as 'EERA' through a special poster shared on social media.

Sharing the poster, the makers described EERA as a fierce and ruthless character from the world of 'Mysaa'. The poster captures him in an intense and malicious gaze while he speaks on the telephone. Set against a night backdrop, several people can be seen standing behind him holding fire torches. He is dressed in a black shirt and black dhoti.

Accompanying the poster, the makers wrote, "Team #MYSAA wishes the powerhouse performer @tarakponnappa a very Happy Birthday. Get ready to witness his fierce and ruthless performance as 'EERA' in #MYSAA. In cinemas this 2026."

Tarak Ponnappa has previously appeared in major films such as the 'KGF' series, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', and 'Devera: Part 1'.

About 'Mysaa'

'Mysaa' is described as a female-led pan-India film starring Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. She is expected to portray one of the most intense characters of her career.

The teaser features her mother describing her with the words: "They said my daughter is dead. But the land shook in fear, failing to hide my daughter's blood. The wind comes to a still, failing to carry my daughter's breath. The fire turned into ashes, failing to see my daughter's burning rage. And finally, Death faced Death, failing to kill my daughter."

In her look for the film, Rashmika Mandanna maintains a very intense gaze with her face covered in dust and blood. She appears strong, angry, and full of power. The story is expected to be set in tribal lands under the direction of Rawindra Pulle.

The makers have brought in international stunt expert Andy Long for the action sequences. The film also features Shreyaas P Krishna as the cinematographer and music composed by Jakes Bejoy.
