Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's Wedding Jewellery: A Tale of Legacy and Identity
When Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda finally saw their complete wedding looks come together, the reaction was profound and deeply emotional. Describing the moment, the team at SHREE Jewellers revealed in an interview with Free Press Journal, "She said she felt divine the moment she wore it. He felt powerful and grounded, almost god-like in his presence." This emotional response became the true highlight of their February 26, 2026 wedding at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur — a ceremony where jewellery was not merely adornment, but a core part of their identity.
Not Trend-Driven Glamour, But a Legacy Forged in Gold
The couple had approached the brand nearly a year in advance with remarkable clarity. "From the beginning, the brief was clear: this was not about trend-driven bridal glamour. It was about legacy, permanence, and identity," the jewellers shared. This vision set the tone for an intensive creative journey. The entire process unfolded over a meticulous 10-month period. "The journey took 10 months, from laying out the initial concept to multiple design discussions, customisation, production, trials, refinements, and finally presenting the completed ceremonial looks." Every step was deliberate, ensuring the final pieces resonated with the couple's personal narrative.
Temple Architecture Inspires the Bride's Antique Ensemble
Rashmika, elegantly dressed in a rustic orange and gold saree by Anamika Khanna, wore antique matte-finished gold jewellery deeply rooted in South Indian design language. "For the bride, the inspiration came from South Indian architecture and sculptural forms," explained the designers. The high-relief Nakshi work was crafted to mirror intricate carvings found in heritage structures. The layered harams reflected ceremonial traditions passed down through generations. Her waist belt referenced classical bridal iconography, while the hair ornaments honoured age-old South Indian customs.
Her complete ensemble included:
- A structured Nakshi choker
- Layered harams centred with Goddess Lakshmi motifs
- Statement jhumkas
- Jada Billa hair ornament
- Champasaralu
- Vaddanam (waist belt)
- Bhashikam (toe ring)
Together, these pieces formed a cohesive visual narrative steeped in tradition and cultural reverence.
Mythic Royalty Defines the Groom's Bold Aesthetic
Vijay complemented her magnificence in a custom ivory dhoti and vermilion angavastram, also by Anamika Khanna. His look was styled with bold Nakshi-engraved haars featuring powerful motifs. "For the groom, the inspiration was mythic royalty," the jewellers noted. Elephant motifs symbolised wisdom and stability, while tiger elements represented agility and strength. Floral patterns softened the narrative, drawing from traditional inlay artistry, and braided textures were incorporated to suggest continuity and lineage.
His jewellery elevated the conventional groom aesthetic and included:
- Broad cuffs
- Sculptural bajubands (armlets)
- A statement waist belt
- Earrings
- An anklet
- A ceremonial bhashikam, mirroring Rashmika's
The Ultimate Reward: A Vision Perfectly Realised
Reflecting on the project's culmination, the jewellers added, "At the end of the day, every bride dreams of seeing her vision come to life without compromise. That moment when it all aligns. For her, this was that moment. Seeing them so sure, so excited, so completely satisfied brought us immense joy too." The wedding of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, after years of dating rumours, was thus immortalised not just in photographs, but in the timeless legacy of jewellery that spoke of divinity, power, and an unbreakable connection to their roots.
