Veteran Screenwriter Salim Khan Hospitalized After Suffering Minor Brain Haemorrhage
Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, aged 90, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing a minor brain haemorrhage. The news of his hospitalization has drawn significant attention from the Bollywood film fraternity, with numerous celebrities rushing to the hospital to check on his condition.
Celebrity Visits and Hospital Arrivals
Following an early morning visit from his son, actor Salman Khan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was spotted arriving at the hospital later in the same day. A video shared by the paparazzo page Instant Bollywood captured SRK's car entering the hospital premises amid heightened security measures.
On Saturday evening, Malaika Arora was also seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital. She was accompanied by her son, Arhaan Khan, and maintained a low profile as she quickly stepped out of the car and headed inside the facility.
Medical Condition and Doctor's Statement
Salim Khan was admitted to the hospital on February 17. Dr. Jalil D. Parkar, from the Department of Chest Medicine, addressed the media on Wednesday to provide clarity on the veteran writer's health status. He confirmed that Salim Khan had suffered a minor brain haemorrhage.
"There was no surgery performed. It was a procedure which we usually do. Yes, he had a brain haemorrhage, which was very minimal, which did not require any surgical intervention. There was no need for any surgery," Dr. Parkar stated, emphasizing that the haemorrhage was "very minimal."
According to an official statement from Lilavati Hospital, Salim Khan was admitted at 8:30 AM under the care of Dr. Parkar. He was initially brought to the emergency department by his family doctor and later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring. His condition is currently reported as stable, although recovery may take some time due to his advanced age.

Since his admission, several prominent figures from the Bollywood industry have visited Salim Khan to offer their support. The list of visitors includes:
