Shahid Kapoor Prioritizes Normal Childhood for His Children

Shahid Kapoor takes careful steps to protect his daughter Misha and son Zain from the public eye. He knows they will eventually understand his fame as a Bollywood star. However, he works hard to give them a regular and grounded upbringing.

He parents these two children with his wife Mira Rajput, who is a businesswoman. Shahid is the son of actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem. He ensures his family avoids the extreme aspects of stardom.

Discussing Stardom with His Kids

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Shahid shared whether he talks about his celebrity status with his children. He said he wants them to stay as close to normalcy as possible. As they grow older, they will become more aware of his fame.

"We don't do anything to bring it up," Shahid explained. "If any questions come up, we try to answer them in the best way we can as parents. That's it. It is what it is."

Staying Authentic Amid Fame

Shahid actually chooses to distance himself from the "star" label. He admits that stardom sometimes feels overwhelming. It can make anyone forget their true self amid all the hype.

"The biggest lesson I've learned is that authenticity comes from knowing yourself deeply," Shahid said. "You should not try to fit into anyone else's expectations. Fame can be overwhelming. It's easy to lose sight of who you are amid all the noise."

He stays grounded by remaining true to his values. He stays connected to his family and close circle. He focuses on his work rather than the hype. "Being real with yourself is the only way to sustain any kind of success or happiness," Shahid added.
