In a candid and revealing interview, actress Shraddha Kapoor's aunt, Tejaswini Kolhapure, has opened up about one of the most challenging periods the prominent Bollywood family has endured. Tejaswini Kolhapure specifically referenced the 2022 Bengaluru case where Siddhanth Kapoor was arrested for allegedly consuming drugs at a rave party held in an upscale hotel. During her conversation with interviewer Siddharth Kannan, she maintained a firm stance on her nephew's innocence. "Siddhanth has been in the wrong place at the wrong time and because he is from this family, his name gets highlighted," she explained, emphasizing that the circumstances rather than any wrongdoing led to his legal troubles.
She asserted that Siddhanth was "absolutely clean" when it came to drugs, recounting his version of events where someone offered him a drink while he was working as a DJ at the party. Despite being released on bail afterward, the incident created lasting repercussions for the entire Kapoor family.

Recalling the immediate aftermath of the arrest, Tejaswini described how the family rushed to support Siddhanth. "The first time it happened, me and my husband went to get him out because he was with his friends, and we knew all his friends," she shared. However, she expressed frustration with how the situation was portrayed publicly, stating that "the media blew it out of proportion."
"His name was everywhere in the papers. Uska naam kharab ho gaya," she added, highlighting the damage to his reputation. Tejaswini further explained that Siddhanth's profession as an international DJ exacerbated the situation, noting that "people are judgemental when it comes to the company you keep" and even indirect associations could harm his standing.

Tejaswini vividly recalled this traumatic episode: "The way they got affected, it was terrible. One day, one political group was shouting slogans outside the house. Shraddha and Siddhanth were crying inside. Unfortunately, this was turned into a big deal. They were really affected."

He knows how she is. She has a mind of her own, right from the beginning she has had a mind of her own.
