Sonakshi Sinha vents, deletes post on Air India delay

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha recently took to social media to express her frustration with national carrier Air India after experiencing a significant flight delay. However, the post, which was highly critical of the airline, was later removed from her account.

The Airport Ordeal: A 6-Hour Wait

On Tuesday, December 16, Sinha shared her experience via an Instagram story posted directly from the airport. The actor revealed she had arrived at the terminal at 4 am for a scheduled 5 am departure. To her dismay, the flight was repeatedly postponed.

She stated that the take-off time was pushed back incrementally, hour by hour, until it finally reached 11 am. According to her post, this lengthy delay occurred without any proper explanation from the airline staff.

The Now-Deleted Social Media Outburst

In her since-removed Instagram story, Sonakshi Sinha did not mince words. She shared a photo from the airport alongside a caption that read, "Absolutely HATE you @airindia. Been at the airport since 4 am to catch a 5 am flight which has been pushed to 11 am hour by hour for NO DAMN REASON. National carrier it seems. Do better."

The story was live for a short period before Sinha took it down. While the actress herself did not provide a reason for deleting the critical post, screenshots had already begun circulating widely online, ensuring the news spread across social media platforms and news outlets.

Air India's Response and Sinha's Current Projects

At the time reports were filed, Air India had not issued any public statement or response to the actress's complaints. The incident highlights ongoing customer service challenges sometimes faced by passengers with Indian carriers.

On the professional front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in the film 'Jatadhara'. Her work on popular OTT platforms has been earning her significant acclaim. She received praise for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand series 'Heeramandi' and the crime drama 'Dahaad', where she portrays a police officer. She is set to return for the next season of 'Dahaad'.

Recently, Sinha has also been in the news for personal reasons, specifically pregnancy rumours which she denied with a humorous social media post. In a chat with Etimes, she addressed life after marriage, joking about the common trend of couples gaining weight in their first year, calling it a sign of a happy union.
