Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli has reacted to the recently unveiled teaser of the Alia Bhatt-starrer spy action drama film, 'Alpha'. Calling it 'promising', the director heaped praise on his 'RRR' female lead as she engages in full-blown action sequences.
SS Rajamouli's Words on 'Alpha'
SS Rajamouli shared the 1 minute and 49-second teaser on social media, writing, 'Alia is fantastic as always. Absolutely outstanding and so fierce in the action sequences! #AlphaTeaser looks promising. Good luck to the entire team.'
In the teaser, Alia Bhatt's character is seen celebrating her 18th birthday with her father, played by Bobby Deol. The celebration at a restaurant takes a turn as she is expected to perform a high-stakes mission on the 34th floor of the hotel. Bobby Deol is shown training Alia from childhood, acting as her mentor for the 'Alpha' operation.
SS Rajamouli's Advice to Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt made her Telugu debut in SS Rajamouli's blockbuster film 'RRR', playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan, alongside Jr NTR. Earlier in 2024, while speaking at a summit, the actress revealed the advice she received from the director on choosing films. She said, 'I asked SS Rajamouli what kind of films I should choose because I’m always torn. He said, whatever you choose, just do it with love. Because even if the film is not good, the audience will see love in your eyes for what you do and they will connect with that. Because, there is nothing greater than love in this world.'
About 'Varanasi'
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli, after the success of his 2022 film, is now working on his next big project, 'Varanasi'. The film is led by Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and also includes global icon Priyanka Chopra and Prithiviraj Sukumaran. It is said to be a time-traveling action adventure currently in the production phase. The film is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027.
