Taylor Swift's Secret Toy Story 5 Song Revealed

The upcoming 'Toy Story 5' has been generating significant buzz, with many beloved cast members returning and new additions joining the franchise. Recent reports indicate that the involvement of Taylor Swift has amplified expectations and excitement tenfold. While it has been confirmed that the Grammy-winning artist has contributed a song to Tom Hanks' upcoming animated feature, the production team has gone to great lengths to keep the track a secret until the film's release.

Taylor Swift's 'Toy Story 5' Song Kept Under Wraps for Months

In an interview with Variety at SXSW London, Thomas Jordan, a VFX artist from the film's team, revealed surprising details about Swift's collaboration. He disclosed that the partnership had been in development for months but was carefully concealed to preserve excitement. The song was even omitted from early screenings of the animated film.

Jordan elaborated, saying, "She (Taylor Swift) actually saw an early version of the film; she requested to see it before it was finished, and she wrote the song and then asked us if we wanted it. And we said, 'Uh, yes! Yes, we do.' That was in February, so we've had to keep it a secret ever since then."

The secrecy surrounding the film was taken very seriously, Jordan noted. He revealed that the team even had to "create a decoy version," which was released to the press and the majority of the staff members of 'Toy Story 5.' "The crew that made Toy Story 5 did not know about this secret until last week," he further shared, emphasizing the lengths taken to prevent any leaks. Regarding how the collaboration came about, Jordan quipped, "Turns out, Taylor Swift is a huge Toy Story fan like many of us."

Taylor Swift created the song titled 'I Knew It, I Knew You' for 'Toy Story 5,' which is scheduled for worldwide release on June 19.
