About 'Border 2' and Production Details

'Border 2' is based on real events from the 1971 war and serves as a spiritual successor to J.P. Dutta's 1997 blockbuster 'Border'. The original film featured an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Tabu among others.

The new installment is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta's J.P. Films. It boasts a powerful production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, with direction by Anurag Singh.

Upcoming Projects and Release Schedule

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in the romantic drama 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', co-starring Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. The film is now scheduled to release on June 5, having been previously slated for April 10, 2026.

The film's title is believed to be inspired by the popular hit song 'Hai Jawani Toh Pyaar Hona Hai' from David Dhawan's film 'Biwi No 1', which featured Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen. Reportedly blending lighthearted narrative with romantic elements, the story follows a man rejected by multiple women who eventually receives divine assistance.
