Yash on the Unique Aspects of 'Toxic'
In a candid conversation with Fandango, Yash was prompted to reveal tidbits about his upcoming action film. He began by stating, "Toxic is a very ambitious film," and elaborated, "For the first time, I think, we have shot that film in English as well. So, as a concept, it is very layered." He further emphasized that the movie breaks away from traditional gangster narratives, explaining, "It isn't your typical gangster action story. For the face value, it will look like a gangster movie with a lot of action, but it has got deep psychology and its got very interesting aspects of human life, where you can resonate with and it's a very unique way to present a dark character."
Yash Promises a Visual and Psychological Treat
Yash also credited director Geetu Mohandas and the technical team for bringing a fresh perspective to the genre. He shared, "It was very exciting and some of the best technicians, my director Geetu Mohandas, has really given a new take to a gangster film and I enjoyed it." Teasing what fans can expect, he added, "It's going to be a visual treat as well as something which makes a huge impact on the audience's psychology."
'Toxic' Release Date Confirmation
Originally slated to clash with Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' on March 19, 2026, the makers of 'Toxic' postponed the release date. Amid much speculation, actress Tara Sutaria confirmed that the film is now scheduled for a theatrical release on June 4, 2026, adding to the buzz surrounding this ambitious project.
Yash Confirms No Scene with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Ramayana' Part One
The update comes as Yash attended the CinemaCon event in the US, where he has been actively promoting the epic 'Ramayana'. During his chat with the portal, he clarified that Part One of the saga will not feature him sharing screen space with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. He shared, "Interestingly we both have never come together on screen in this film. As you all know, it's a two-part film, so in the first part, as Ravana, I have my own kingdom and Rama has his own kingdom."
'Ramayana' is slated for a worldwide release on Diwali 2026, promising to be a grand cinematic experience for audiences globally.
