Akhanda 2 Box Office: Day 5 Earnings Dip, Crosses ₹70 Cr

Nandamuri Balakrishna's much-anticipated sequel, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, has crossed a significant milestone at the domestic box office, despite experiencing the typical weekday slowdown. The film's earnings on its fifth day have pushed its total India net collection past the ₹70 crore mark, a feat that has earned it a place in the top 10 highest-grossing Telugu films of the year 2025.

Day 5 Collection Details and Weekly Trend

As per data from the industry tracker Sacnilk, Akhanda 2 minted an estimated ₹4.35 crore net on its fifth day in Indian theatres. This figure represents a drop of roughly 17.14% from its Monday (Day 4) collection of ₹5.25 crore. The film's performance on Monday itself was a sharp decline from the weekend numbers.

The box office journey for Akhanda 2 has been a rollercoaster since its release. It began with a strong ₹8 crore from paid previews, followed by an impressive opening day (Day 1) collection of ₹22.5 crore, powered largely by its Telugu audience. However, collections dipped to ₹15.5 crore on Saturday (Day 2) and held steady at ₹15.1 crore on Sunday (Day 3). The first major drop came on Monday, leading to the further decline observed on Day 5.

With the Day 5 earnings, the film's cumulative total now stands at ₹70.70 crore net in India. This achievement has allowed it to surpass the lifetime collection of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's Thandel (₹65.49 crore net).
