Ranveer Singh's blockbuster film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has reached a monumental global milestone on its 30th day of theatrical release, even as its domestic collections show signs of slowing down. The film has now entered the elite club of highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
Day 30 Collection Shows Significant Decline
As the film began its fifth week in theaters, it collected approximately Rs 2.70 crore net on Friday, marking its lowest single-day performance since release. The gross earnings for the day stood at around Rs 3.24 crore, indicating a substantial drop from its earlier explosive numbers.
Despite this sharp decline in daily collections, the film has maintained an extraordinary cumulative performance. The India net total now stands at an impressive Rs 1,105.82 crore, demonstrating remarkable long-term box office strength.
Global Earnings Reach Landmark Figure
According to estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has accumulated:
- India gross collection: Rs 1,323.73 crore
- Overseas haul: Rs 418 crore
- Global earnings: Rs 1,742 crore
This landmark figure places Dhurandhar 2 among the highest-grossing Indian films in cinematic history, achieving what few Bollywood productions have managed in recent years.
Matching Pushpa 2's Lifetime Record
With this achievement, Dhurandhar 2 has equalled the lifetime worldwide total of Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun. However, the Ranveer Singh-led film reached this milestone in just 30 days, while Pushpa 2 took significantly longer to accumulate similar numbers.
By comparison, Pushpa 2 had collected around Rs 1,407.17 crore by Day 30 and went on to add more than Rs 335 crore over the remainder of its theatrical run, closing at a substantially higher final total.
Week-Wise Collection Breakdown Shows Steep Decline
While the overall trajectory remains historic, Dhurandhar 2 has shown a dramatic week-on-week drop after its explosive opening:
- Week 1: Rs 674.17 crore
- Week 2: Rs 263.65 crore
- Week 3: Rs 110.60 crore
- Week 4: Rs 54.70 crore
This pattern indicates that while the film enjoyed unprecedented initial success, its staying power has diminished considerably in subsequent weeks.
Second-Highest Grossing Indian Film Worldwide
Despite the slowdown, Dhurandhar 2 now stands as the second-highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, trailing only Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which holds the record with lifetime earnings of approximately Rs 1,788 crore.
The film's achievement is particularly noteworthy given the current market conditions and competition from other major releases. Ranveer Singh's performance has been widely praised, contributing significantly to the film's commercial success across domestic and international markets.
